Paid in Full – Most years we have two dates where a family gets a discount off of their camp fee for paying the full tuition early.

Discounts take money off of the camp fee portion of your bill, they cannot be used for camp store money. In most cases families can choose one discount per camp session. We offer this gladly because we want to make a week of camp possible for as many families as possible. We offer this rate at an extreme subsidy, absorbing more than half the cost of the session. Camp is expensive, particularly for families with limited income. Tier 1 is there for families who would otherwise not afford a week of summer camp. They give to camp to so that we can keep the cost of camp more affordable, that is Tier 2.

We have a community of generous donors made up of camp alums, people from the community, and members of Wesminster Church of Detroit. Tier 2 is subsidized by donations we receive throughout the year. Choosing tier 3 says, “I can afford the full cost of camp, and I am happy to help others who can’t.” The more people who choose Tier 3, the easier it is for us to continue to offer Tiers 1 and 2. Tier 3 is the highest price and is the closest to paying the actual cost of a week of camp.

This information is not shared with staff beyond our administrative office. All campers get the same experience, regardless of what payment tier their family chooses. Thanks to donations from our fantastic community of supporters, we can offer Tiers 1 and 2 at a subsidized rate.
